In the film "LEGACY XXI", we delve into a dystopian 2096 where humanity teeters on the brink of extinction.
Global desertification, ozone layer depletion, nuclear wars, and global warming have led to catastrophic outcomes. The entire world has turned into a lifeless void, except for one city created in the mid-21st century—The Line, located in Saudi Arabia, which has become humanity's last refuge.
In a desperate attempt to prevent their total annihilation, humanity launches a massive project to save their species: spacecraft directed to distant exoplanets and Earth's orbit, intended to be cradles for future generations. Lacking the technology for human cryopreservation, scientists create humanoid robots to nurture a new generation from frozen genetic materials in specially designed capsules.

The main intrigue unfolds around the ambitious project "Alternative History," aimed at creating a virtual reality where key figures from the year 2025 can be recreated by AI to potentially alter the course of history. On his path to this goal, he faces a ban on his technologies, becomes an international fugitive, runs for president in a developing country, ends up in prison after losing the election, is freed by his influential friends, and begins to build a city with a resource-based economic system, only to become persecuted again. Ultimately, he gets the opportunity to create this city on New Zealand territory with its support.
